Rash what ever happened to all the NbR members(all join UrS?),Ut 2004 slv is a breath of fresh air, and the sniper rifle makes for quite the nice addition. Can't wait to get my new interwebs so i can actually play online games

 Re: ut2004 Strangelove
I played SLV for UT2k4 last night and I'm really impressed. It plays and handles almost identically to the UT99 version, only less glitchy. I felt the server speeds seemed a bit fast (especially the Euro server) but other than that, I loved it. It will be very easy for UT99 slvers to pick it up in UT2k4. The biggest downside is that it looks like there are no custom SLV maps. They're just huge UT2k4 maps, the type favored by newbs in UT99 SLV. I wonder how difficult it is to port maps from UT99 to UT2k4...
Anyway, everyone should buy UT2k4. It's $15 on Steam.
Rash, when is the best time to catch people playing?

 Re: ut2004 Strangelove
Actually most nbr members came from urs, but now made up moc. The euro and midwest are GT versions, the midwest is dialed in by Grampa Moses, he got the GT to respond like the older 33rev version, which is the west coast server. There are some maps derived from ut99 like cola wars, stupid death rockets, etc.. The most traffic is on the weekends or late during the week. If you feel like playing, jump in a server and someone often joins soon after.

 Re: ut2004 Strangelove
It wouldn't be difficult to take maps from ut99 and remake them into ut2k4 even if they both work quite differently, maps like 5B or something or only really simple anyway, it's just getting the dimensions right.

 Re: ut2004 Strangelove
The problem is that the maps must be re-created from scratch. You can't import UT99 maps into the UT2k4 editor, which would make it easy. Unfortunately, I don't think there are enough UT99 to UT2k4 crossover players to warrant spending the time re-creating the old maps.
